The Drama Department offers a varied and exciting range of opportunities for boys to develop confidence, self esteem and many skills associated with the subject.

The Drama Society is very popular and runs as an after school programme, and as part of a student’s co-curricular options. It is open to all, including Primary School students. Usually the boys enrol at the beginning of the school year, but are welcome to join us at any time throughout the year.

Our sessions run on Wednesday afternoons in the Lecceto Auditorium from 3.40pm to 5.00pm. This may be subject to change with regard to student and teacher availabilities.

Drama is offered as an elective in Years 8, 9 and 10 and as an HSC subject. Enrolments are negotiated through the Curriculum Office towards the end of Term 3 each year.

In addition, St Augustine’s produces a Musical and Dramatic Play in alternate years. In 2012 we produced Guys and Dolls with Stella Maris College and, in 2013, St Augustine’s Drama students will appear in the classic play, Lord of the Flies.
