The buzz around the College last week was amazing, and I have to say, much of it was from our brilliant students who volunteered to assist with Open Day. Close to 450 students from all Year Groups helped staff prepare, welcome and host the families visiting the College. Our students worked with various faculties such as Chemistry, Languages, Art, History and Science, while our musicians entertained the crowds. Students also volunteered as Tour Guides, showcasing the school and providing a running commentary on every aspect of College life from academics, sport or drama to the canteen and gym.

Busiest of all were our Student Leadership Team. They were everywhere. At the front gate, taking tours around the school, assisting the Faculties, serving gelato and in the welcome marquee.

Bishops Shield points are being awarded to every student who gave up their time to volunteer for Open Day. On behalf of the College, I would like to say a very big THANK YOU to the students and also to the parents for collecting their son’s later in the evening.
