Year 7 Communion Creatures: ceramics made in the shape of mass ware incorporating animals into the design

17 October 2018

Years 9 & 10 Elective Music classes will be presenting their first Soiree for the year, next Tuesday 23 October at 7.00pm in the Lecceto Auditorium.
The students have been diligent in preparing for this event which will form a significant part of their HSC assessment. They would greatly appreciate your attendance. Our Soirees provide a valuable opportunity to gain performance experience and to measure student development in this area. So come along and support our musicians and enjoy an evening of wonderful music. Each student’s chosen piece is representative of the topics covered in class this semester.

We just wanted to clarify our expectations on rehearsals:
The students of Concert Band 2 will be part of this year’s Band Integration Day. In this event, we invite all of the future St Augustine’s students to the College to enjoy a day of Music and mingling. The day will follow the approximate timings listed below. Students have been approved leave from their formation leaders from class that day and are expected to be with the band.

On October 30, we’re holding a concert dedicated to all of our talented singers. The concert will be held in the Auditorium from 7PM. All of our in-house vocal students are already involved, however, if your son would like to be part of this celebration of voice, please ask him to contact Joseph Montz in person or via Direqt Message.
If your son has contributed to performing arts (Music and Drama) co-curricular this year, he will be required to attend the presentations on November 6. They will be held during periods 3 and 4 and will conclude with a free communal lunch for all of the students. Drama students will have their presentations in the Drama Studios and Music will have theirs in the Auditorium.
