CRICKET CONTINUES THIS WEEKEND

St Augustine’s have had a strong start to the MWJCA season continuing the success from recent seasons. At this point of the season our Under 14 Golds are leading the competition in Division 1, while the 13 Greens, Golds and Whites, 15 Golds, Greens and Whites and 16-18 Golds are placed in the top 4.

We have had a number of strong performances throughout the divisions. Well done to the following players who have made significant contributions to their team’s success.

A number of team will feature in this season’s MiniBash T20 competition which will be held in February and March next year.

Old Boy Jack Edwards makes Sheffield Shield Century

Congratulations to former St Augustine’s student who scored his maiden first class century for New South Wales against Tasmania in round three of the Sheffield Shield competition. This follows on from his century in the one-day domestic competition earlier in the year.

We look forward to watching Jack dominate for the Sydney Sixes along with his brother Mickey during this seasons Big Bash Competition.

NSW CCC Downie Shield Competition

The First XI started their Downie Shield campaign with a convincing win in Round 2 over local rivals St Paul’s Manly. St Augustine’s (7/174) (Oscar Lucius 40) defeated St Pauls (10/48) (Cooper Hatvany 4/12, Lincoln Waller 3/11).

In their Round 3 match they game up against a strong Christian Brothers Lewisham outfit. Despite putting a competitive total on the board batting first, the team were beaten by a better side on the day. St Augustine’s (10/223) (Ky Broome 87, Oscar Lucius 55, Jordan Brewster 29) lost to Christian Brothers Lewisham (4/224).

2018 Mark Taylor Shield Final

Our Year 5 and 6 Students have progressed to the Mark Taylor Shield Final next Tuesday 4^th December at St Joseph’s Hunters Hill. They will play the winner of this week’s Semi-Final between St John’s Dapto and Christian Brothers Lewisham.
