WATER POLO
Congratulations to all three Year 7 Water Polo Teams on their extremely successful season.
In a cliff hanging semi-final on Friday September 21, St Aug’s White drew with St Aug’s Gold 3-3. St Aug’s White automatically went through to the grand final as they placed on a higher table position.
In the second semi-final, St Aug’s Green defeated Redlands Blue 9-0 setting up an all St Aug’s grand final White v Green. In an almost unbelievable grand final finish which was played straight after the semis, St Aug’s White drew with St Aug’s Green 4-4 after extra time and in a fitting way to finish the season, were announced as joint premiers.
Congratulations to all the coaches, managers and players on their successful season.
ROWING
On Friday September 21, new and past parents gathered in the sheds at Pearl Bay to meet each other and chat with coaches Judith and Matt about the rowing program. This was a great opportunity for new rowing parents to see the rowing sheds and have an informal chat with coaching staff.
Saturday mornings is one of the busiest training days in the sheds with Judith taking out 12 crews including: 1x, 2x, 4x and an 8+. The rowing community also gathered last Saturday for a working bee from which there was a great response from past and new parents. Thanks to the Niamh Familton, Steve Trevenar and Justin Murphy for all their ongoing hard work.

OUTSTANDING SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS
NSW PSSA Representation
Outstanding achievement by Joe Walsh (Yr 6) for representing NSW Primary Schools in three separate sports; Rugby Union, Rugby League and Touch Football. This is the first time in the College Sporting History that this feat has been achieved.
Athletics
Congratulations to Harley Cohen (Yr 6) on his selection into the NSW PSSA State Athletics Team. Harley has been selected in the 11years High Jump and we wish him the best of luck on Wednesday October 31 at Sydney Olympic Park.
AFL
Congratulations to Cooper McClennan (Yr6) and Patrick Trevaskis (Yr7) on their selection to represent the U13’s Sydney Swans Academy at the 2018 AFL Joss State Zone Trials in Albury during the school holidays, October 1st to 4th.
Bodyboarding
Congratulations to Sam Giddy (Yr8) who recently competed at the National Body Boarding Titles on the Tweed Coast representing NSW in the U/16 Cadet Division and the U/18 Juniors.
Sam surfed extremely well, making it to the U/16 Cadet Final after posting one of the highest scores of the day of 7.75 in his semi-final after successfully performing an ARS (Air Roll Spin).
In the Final his attempt to pull off another ARS didn’t eventuate in the diminishing surf and he came 4th overall in the final. Sam was also the only cadet to compete in the U/18 Junior Division. He surfed solidly making it to the Semi Finals.
If your son has achieved at a high level in a sport that the College doesn’t offer, we like to know about their achievements. Please email the Sports Office: brock.p@saintaug.nsw.edu.au
