Overview

Football (Soccer) is a well-established and popular sport at St Augustine’s College, offering boys from Years 5 to 12 the opportunity to develop skills, compete regularly and grow through team sport. As part of the College’s Sport and Co-curricular Program, football provides a structured, school-based environment where students of varying ability levels can enjoy the game while representing the College.

Program Structure

Football is played during the winter sports season in Terms 2 and 3, aligning with the College’s broader sporting calendar. Students train regularly during the week, with sessions typically held one to two afternoons per week, depending on age group and team grading.

Teams compete in the Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA) competition, with Saturday matches played across the Northern Beaches and surrounding areas. This provides consistent match experience and the opportunity for boys to represent the College in an organised local competition.

In addition to weekly fixtures, students may also take part in Catholic Schools Gala Days and other invitational events, adding further opportunities for inter-school sport.
