We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator to join our Science Faculty as Assistant Head of Science. This 2-point Coordinator position commences at the start of 2026 on a 3-year contract, with the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and leadership of the Science department.

About the Role

As Assistant Head of Science, you will:

  • Support the Head of Science in curriculum planning, assessment design, and faculty development.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance student engagement and academic outcomes in Science.
  • Mentor and support teaching staff within the faculty.
  • Coordinate programs and resources across the Science disciplines.
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and cross-faculty collaboration.
  • Contribute to the broader life of the College and co-curricular activities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Accreditation to teach in NSW and relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching Science, with a strong preference for Physics.
  • Proven leadership capabilities or experience in a coordinator role.
  • A commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic education.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
