We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator to join our Science Faculty as Assistant Head of Science. This 2-point Coordinator position commences at the start of 2026 on a 3-year contract, with the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and leadership of the Science department.
About the Role
As Assistant Head of Science, you will:
- Support the Head of Science in curriculum planning, assessment design, and faculty development.
- Lead initiatives to enhance student engagement and academic outcomes in Science.
- Mentor and support teaching staff within the faculty.
- Coordinate programs and resources across the Science disciplines.
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives and cross-faculty collaboration.
- Contribute to the broader life of the College and co-curricular activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Accreditation to teach in NSW and relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Science, with a strong preference for Physics.
- Proven leadership capabilities or experience in a coordinator role.
- A commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic education.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
