The Role
We are seeking a recent graduate or early-career IT professional to join us as a Database and Integration Engineer on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone eager to launch their career in a vibrant school environment, offering the chance to develop new skills, learn from experienced mentors, and progress into a specialist position.
As our Database and Integration Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Support the administration and optimisation of our SQL Server database
- Learn to create and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and complex queries.
- Assist with database performance tuning, backup, and security.
- Get hands-on experience with integration and automation tools (Workato, PowerShell, APIs).
- Help ensure data moves accurately and securely between systems.
- Collaborate with system owners and IT colleagues to improve processes.
To be considered for this opportunity you will have:
- A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or nearing completion).
- Some experience (internships, projects, or coursework) with SQL and scripting.
- Eagerness to learn PowerShell, APIs, and integration platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work collaboratively.
