As a member of our Primary Department, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Augustinian Catholic culture of the College
- Providing an exemplary in-class experience for students
- Utilising modern pedagogical approaches to deliver differentiated learning to students at all levels
- Collaborating with parents, psychologists, and pastoral staff to support individual student needs
- Classroom supervision and behaviour management
- Managing student assessments and tracking academic progress
- Managing administrative requirements including report writing, parent teacher meetings and marking
- Working effectively with the Head of Primary to implement the aims and practices of the Primary and College
- Staying current with teaching standards through ongoing professional development
- Be willing to contribute to the College's academic, spiritual and co-curricular life.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Proven experience in teaching Stage 3
- Required qualifications to teach in NSW schools, or ability to obtain
- A commitment to the Catholic and St Augustine's educational values
- A commitment to child safety
- The ability to work collaboratively with peers and leadership
