Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming more common in education, and we’re approaching it with both excitement and responsibility.

Around the College, teachers are starting to trial AI tools to help personalise learning and provide students with faster, more targeted feedback. But what’s equally important is how this technology might ease the pressure behind the scenes. Administrative tasks, compliance reporting, and risk management requirements all add to a teacher’s workload.

We’re exploring ways AI can help take care of the repetitive admin, so our teachers can focus on building relationships with students and creating engaging learning experiences. It’s about giving time back to the people who matter most in a student’s journey.

One Portal, Many Tasks: A Better Way to Connect with the College

Families juggle a lot, and navigating school platforms shouldn’t add to the load. That’s why a new parent portal is currently in development.

Once live, the portal will bring everything into one place: reports, attendance, permission slips, payments, and more. It’s being designed with ease-of-use front of mind, so families can quickly find what they need and take action without the usual run-around.

Simplifying Everyday Processes

Soon, families and staff will notice some changes in the way we handle school forms and approvals. We’ll be moving away from Operoo and introducing a new platform that’s much easier to navigate.

The focus of this change is making things simpler. Fewer clicks, clearer steps, and less time spent filling out forms. Whether you’re submitting a permission slip or updating contact details, the goal is to make the process feel quicker and more straightforward.

A Fast & More Reliable Wi-Fi Network

You might not see it, but one of the biggest upgrades on campus is already making a difference. Our entire WIFI network has been improved to give students and staff faster, more reliable internet access, everywhere around the College.

This means smoother online lessons, better support for tools like 3D printers and tablets, and fewer disruptions during the school day. It’s a practical step forward as well as an important one, helping every part of school life run more smoothly.

Technology is always changing, and so are we. But our direction is clear. We’re using these tools to support people, not replace them. Whether it’s helping a student stay engaged in class or giving a teacher more time to focus on their students, our tech choices are always grounded in care.
