About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Rugby Coaching Co-ordinator, on a part-time basis, to be responsible for developing a strategic vision for the enhancement of St Augustine’s College Rugby.
In consultation with the 1st XV Coaching staff, you will develop a consistent Coaching Philosophy for players and coaches at all levels, ensuring it is aligned with our Augustinian values and principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing various programs for our Rugby players, coaches, referees, managers and other support personnel as required. Hours will be varied throughout the day/week, however will equate to approx. 15 hours per week.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Creating developmental pathways for coaches and players/teams alike.
• Develop a College ‘style of play’ for consistency and progression.
• Maintaining coaching compliance in consultation with the Teacher in Charge.
• Develop and maintain networks within the local and wider Rugby community.
• Conduct non-technical inspections of equipment to ensure safety and good working order, including organisation of the general cleaning and disinfecting of equipment, repair and replacement as required.
• Support students, staff and parents with program initiatives.
Essential Criteria
• Current First Aid certificate
• Hold a current ARU Level 2 Coaching Accreditation
• Club Coaching Co-ordinator qualification
About You
• Demonstrated record of being a dynamic and successful practitioner in the delivery of Rugby programs within a school environment.
• Willing to work early mornings and afternoons.
• Preferably not currently coaching a team.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage adolescents whilst developing the ‘whole’ person.
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage with all stakeholders in a responsive and inclusive manner.
• Moderate computer skills for general administrative duties.
