The Visual Art Faculty held an exhibition during Thursday lunch time of Year 9 and 10 Visual Arts and Photographic & Digital Media students’ artworks selected from this year ‘s artmaking. The show was well-supported with over 100 staff and students coming along to see the works and vote for their favourite. There were a wide variety of forms, materials and techniques which demonstrates students’ critical and creative thinking.   

Tom Collingridge, Year 9 PDM, won the People’s Choice vote and received a $50 Eckersley’s voucher to buy art materials. Tom’s Body of work explores portrait photography which year 9 PDM students have studied this semester. Tom’s work captures the essence of each of his subjects. He has used techniques of lighting, digital manipulation, digital illustration and the use of props to capture each subject sensitively and with skill and to create a body of work that is aesthetically beautiful and visually captivating.

Year 10 Visual Arts and Photographic & Digital Media students enjoyed a pizza lunch later in the day to celebrate a great 2 years together of making art.
